Damn Small Linux (DSL) is a Linux distro which can fit into a 50MB business card CD. It is supposed to be a complete desktop distro with a comprehensive set of tools and software for everyday use. You can use DSL as a LiveCD, or even to boot up from a thumb drive or make it run from inside windows! The biggest advantage it has is that it can be used on a old PC with little RAM and if your PC has the memory, you can even store the entire Operating System in 128MB of RAM! As for the desktop applications, it comes with a web browser, media player, word processor, instant messenging software and much more. This OS is free.
