Uboat.net http://uboat.net/ Uboat.net is a website dedicated to the German U-boat and their activities from 1933 to 1945. Although it is still mainly focused on U-boats, this site has information on other Naval vessels as well. You can find interesting articles on U-boats, battles, the people and even on movies about U-boats. You can also search their huge gallery of photos and images on these German submarines. In addition, they have a book review section, these books are all related to the U-boat or submarine in general. If you like to have more in-depth discussions on this subject, you are welcomed to join their forums.

International Journal Of Naval History http://www.ijnhonline.org/ Yes, it is one of those journals. At times I think they are boring but honestly, compared to the other websites out there, they are probably the only few serious works on history ever. Their aim is to provide a medium for academics to do research on naval history. Hey, it is not as easy as browsing through the net and finding a few articles here and there. And even though naval history has fascinated many, there are still so many mysteries out there - like the small scale battles, little unknown conflicts or those areas where governments would like being white washed and so on. They hope to "stimulate" and promote research on such topics. Yes, geek talk but still, you must have wondered once in a while whether every said by our historians are true or not right?

Naval Historical Foundation http://www.navyhistory.org/ A little propaganda never hurts anyone some people might say. Well, if only all sides have a say. The thing I worry about propaganda is that it tends to get abused more often than not. That is why I am not too sure about this site. Yes, it is about the US Naval history and so on where you can get reproductions of old photographs, document reproductions for you to frame up and so on. You also get to see the leaders in the naval, civil and private industries. But its main aim is actually to influence the public about the importance of naval seapower in the United States. Well, at the moment, I think it is a good thing that people are well aware of that. We look at the news and we are greeted with displays of firepower from great warships. What can I say? Propaganda works.
