Just submit the feed and if there are any errors, it will highlight it and provide you with some solutions. You can also run it locally if you want. The code is open source and available freely. | Pageflakes http://www.pageflakes.com/ A start-up page of sorts. What this site provides is a customized start-up personal home page where you can modify to your liking. For example, you would like to read the news from this or that online newspaper every time you start your browser - you can add "flakes" via RSS to this page. You can of course add numerous different "flakes" to your page like calendar, emails, to-do-list and so on. It is exactly like iGoogle. But come on, Google again? And I like Pageflakes better, mainly because the user-interface seem more sleek and user-friendly. You don't need to spend too much time fiddling with the settings and that is a good thing! |

| Teux Deux http://teuxdeux.com/ When you get old, one of the things you would realize is that you keep on forgetting things. And for someone as old as me, I have been forgetting things a lot. I once forgot to go home after work. So yes, it is good to set up a "to-do" list so you can jot down what needs to be done so you won't forget it. Even if you are young, sometimes things will still be forgotten. Teux Deux is a web-based application with a very simple interface so everyone can get into "to-dos" easily. No confusing buttons or whatever - just a straight forward list for you to write and tick off. And it now syncs with your iPhone, with the iPhone app. So yes, you can check or edit your list on the go as well. However, the iPhone app is not free. But it comes with multiple accounts so that you and your wife can share the "to-do" list and she will know which tasks is done. Some might think having multiple accounts is useful, some might not. |

So when you get back home or to your office, you will have an email reminder waiting for you. Well, if only they could do the opposite. You send an email to Jott and they will call you maybe in an hour's time and repeat that email to you. Furthermore, they have this Jott Assistant which you could do a lot of things by calling their number - like email, set appointments, add to lists and so on. Sometimes technology and Internet is just so amazing. |

| Tabbloid http://www.tabbloid.com/ A very unique service for anyone who is into reading blogs. Basically what this site does is to turn your blog feeds into some sort of a magazine for you to read or print out. Just click on "create tabbloid", choose the blog you want, choose the dates and you will be presented with a full magazine-like pdf file. Makes for easy reading as well. And yes, it will be emailed to you - directly to you when you want it. And the presentation and layout of the pdf magazine is pretty good - just like a magazine! Isn't life so convenient with all these services? The problem is that it is using feeds, so you might not have all the images to make the articles complete - mostly text from those rss feeds. It would be more useful if they can extract information from the actual site information. But alas, I believe that this option will need a lot of processing power. |

| Scribble Maps http://scribblemaps.com/ We love Google Maps, don't we? It is so very useful for both webmasters and normal guys like you and me. Need to find a place - use Google maps. Need your visitors to find your place - use Google maps. It is currently one of the best resource out there which is available for free. And webmasters use Google maps a lot on their website. Easy to setup and convenient. However, there is one small flaw - you can't really edit the map to your heart's content. Take for example if your store is located at the just on the right side of the building, you can't really show your customers on Google Maps right? Or if the entrance to your office is through the back door, it will not show up on Google Maps. However, with Scribble Maps, you can draw, edit, add text, add pictures or images and even export them to jpg images for offline use. If you would like even more features, you might think of going "pro". |

| QuirksMode http://www.quirksmode.org/ A very useful website for web developers. Most of us don't even really care about what information is on this site but for web developers, this is like a goldmine. The problem with web development is that there are a lot of browsers available, like Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and so on. And add to the problem of different versions of the same browser, you get a huge headache - compatibility. Designing a site that looks good for Chrome, you might find it looking off in Internet Explorer. Especially when you are talking about browsers made by Microsoft where they don't always follow the recognized standards. And even if they do claim to follow such standards, it might not be implemented correctly. That is probably why this site is created. So good luck there web developers! |
