Mobile Me http://www.apple.com/mobileme/ Formerly known as iTools, Mobile Me is now a subscription based web collaboration services. It is obviously owned by Apple. It has storage, email (web-based), address book and calendar, chat, gallery and many more features. The subscription fees for these services ranges from US$99 per year to US$148 for a family pack. Mobile Me has a very interesting service called "Find my iPhone" which can help track where your iPhone is. It also allows locking and wiping of the iPhone remotely. Pretty useful if you lose your iPhone and don't want anyone stealing your information.

Infoplease http://www.infoplease.com/ We all seek knowledge and information, don't we? What is life without knowledge? And so Infoplease provides you with the answers. If not, they will at least offer you some where to begin and find the information that you seek. You can check out their encyclopedia, Almanac, Atlas, Biographies, Dictionary, News and so on. It is like a treasure trove of information on almost anything. And they claim to be providing "authoritative" answers to factual questions since 1938! They started out as an Almanac and by 1998, they have an online presence. Actually they are very useful for research - I have used them countless of times when writing articles on my blog and you can be sure of the accuracy of the information as well.

Anywho http://www.anywho.com/ Free people search - Anywho offers their users a free lookup to find someone's telephone number, if it is listed. Their database of telephone numbers and names are from by AT&T (publicly accessible information) and updated weekly. They have this reserve lookup in which you can find who belongs to a particular number. Pretty nifty! Anywho also offers Yellow pages service whereby users can lookup businesses in their area as well as their telephone numbers of contacts. Businesses can easily update their own listings. Although there are always privacy issues, I think at times such listings are pretty useful.

Quora http://www.quora.com/ I guess this is "Wiki for nosey kids"? Or something like that. Basically it is a site where anyone can post questions and anyone can answer those questions. Users can even "answer" their own questions if they have found the answer themselves. However, it is the experts which could probably be the best to answer all these pesky questions. So yes, there are respected members in the relevant field coming in to help answer all these questions. So what Search Engine could not answer, Auora will step in and help. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to see that this is a much better alternative than Yahoo Answers.

PopURLs http://popurls.com/ Check out the most popular links in those social bookmarking sites now. No need to browse through different networks, just to this one site. It lists down all the popular links arranged to different social networking site. Saves you time a lot of time. And who doesn't want to keep up with the Internet buzz these days. And the layout (or dashboard) of the site and the "news" are easy to read, unlike most other news aggregators with extremely messy and complex layouts. It is no shock to know that this site is one of the most visited websites on the Internet. For anyone who is interested in popular culture, this site is a "must-visit". I visit it nearly everyday to get my daily does of popular news.

Mahalo http://www.mahalo.com/ Their motto is "Learn Everything". I wish but it seems that my brain is rather limited. But if you have a curious mind, then Mahalo is the site you would want to visit regularly. Unlike most other tutorial sites, Mahalo's design is rather elegant. You can choose the topics you are interested in and have a look at their tutorials. Or if you are lazy like me, try this "answers" section whereby you type in your question and out pops the answer. Anyway, Mahalo started out as a human edited search engine but I guess they slowly evolved into a information and learning site for everyone and everything. Although we all can't learn everything but surely there are some things out there which you are curious about right?

Hard To Find 800 Numbers http://www.hardtofind800numbers.com/ Yes, sometimes it can be hard to find those 800 numbers of major companies. I guess they are trying to avoid overwhelming their support or that they prefer emails so that they can answer queries at their own pace. However, sometimes we do need support fast. We can't wait a few days for the support guy to email us back saying that they will need this information or that information and then wait a few more days to get a reply. So there you have it, this site contains numerous hard-to-find 800 numbers. You can easily browse by company names. Of course it is still rather limited and hopefully in the near future, they would add more companies to their database. Oh, please do not abuse their service. It is very useful to use consumers who need to urgently get support but if it is abused, they might find problems or even shut down.
