A radio station or a website? Now that technology has blended both into one, it is kind of hard to say which is which. I would suggest you to think of this NPR as a news site irregardless of whether it is through the airwaves or online. The website has the layout of a news aggregator site. Or if you like, you can listen to their radio station online. National Public Radio (NPR) produces news and other programming, just like most other radio stations. They have numerous other member stations that use their programs as well. Although some might say that Internet has killed radio (and pretty much everything else), it is interesting to note that their viewership (or listenship) has increased quite significantly. In 2008, their programs has reached to over 27.5 million people. Perhaps it is because the traffic conditions grew worse and people are stuck in their cars more often?
