However, their main focus is in Europe, Asia Pacific and emerging markets. They offer global banking, forex trading, corporate financing, systematic funding, trade finance among other services. | Allianz https://www.allianz.com/ One of Europe's largest insurance company and also one of the world's biggest financial services providers. Not really sure what all these means? Basically they take your money, invest them in something which you probably never hear of and if you break a leg or something, they will compensate you. Of course, they will compensate you unless they cock up and lose all your money. However since insurance is such a big thing now, Allianz is now represented in over 70 countries and hires about 180,000 staff. They are also involved in "asset management" which I have no idea what that is. Most likely they take care of your money and make sure it grows. Usually for big companies with a lot of assets. But judging from the recent financial scare, it is kind of sad to see that there are insurance companies whose job is to take care of your money, abusing the trust we have given to them. |

| Optimal Payments http://www.optimalpayments.com/ We need such payment merchants around. If not, how do we pay our suppliers for the goods? Carrying cash around is kind of dangerous and sometimes even ridiculous, especially if you are paying for a huge amount. Every store needs a convenient and safe payment system so that they can attract customers and get paid as well. And the more payment types, the merrier. Optimal Payments claim to have over 40 payment solutions for their clients. They can accept credit cards, direct-from-bank payments and even cash payments easily. They do this through their NETBANX & NETELLER systems which allows their clients to accept different forms of payment online. They also offer online and offline prepaid Mastercards to make secure payments at over 32 million locations around the world. |

| Rabo Bank http://www.rabobank.com/ We all know Robo Bank, now meet Rabo Bank. Most likely created after robocop and his sidekick rabocop retired, they used all their money to start their two banks. Na, just kidding. They are a bank based in the Netherlands and their main focus is the food and agricultural industry. They also claim to be into sustainability-oriented banking. I have no idea what that means. Most likely they are talking about those new age farming methods where they are organic and so on. Not too sure whether this will actually work though. However we do see an increased in the number of organic farmers and organic produce in our local supermarket due to increased demand for such products. Well, I am no expert, maybe in the long run, they will capture the entire market since I am pretty sure not many banks are concentrating on this. Well, only time can tell. |

| Royal Bank of Scotland http://www.rbs.com/ Banks. The place where we used to keep our money and where it will be supposedly safe. However it seems that nowadays a lot of fraud and nonsense goes on in these institutions. Even my parents (who thinks that the world is still flat) no longer trust the banks anymore. I too don't trust banks anymore but honestly, we don't have much choice anyway. It is not like we can put our money in our little piggy bank right? Anyway, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is one of the largest banks around the world. They deal mainly with fiance and insurance. They have over 140,000 employees worldwide. However the recent controversy whereby they paid some of their employees over 1 million pounds in bonus shows that they are no different from the rest of the bankers. They made a loss of 1.1 billion pounds but they are able to give their staff 1 billion pounds of bonus in total. Amazing. |
