Philosophy Forums http://forums.philosophyforums.com/ Philosophy Forums is a place for discussing anything on philosophy meant for the idle but restless mind. It is also a meeting place for those interested to learn more about philosophy itself. This forums has all the sections for debate on the culture of the day. These include Metaphysics and Epistemology, Ethnics, Language, Science, Religion, Maths, Politics and the Arts. You can then discuss on the practicality of theories and "answers" and figure out whether they make sense or not. Access to the forums is free.

Art Rabbit http://www.artrabbit.com/ Contemporary art. I don't understand the meaning of contemporary art. Even experts cannot truly explain it to me. Does it mean all sorts of modern art or style or something? Does not matter to me. If it looks inspiring and I feel something in me, then it is art to me. Anyway, this site is actually a listing of events and festivals happening throughout the art world. Currently they only list events in the United Kingdom and Germany. Apparently the Germans like art too, which is kind of shocking if you ask me. I thought that they only like beer and pork knuckles. Art Rabbit also enables people who like art to share their list of favourite events, discuss about art and know what others are thinking. It is like a social network for art lovers. Hmm....maybe I should join?

Art Events http://www.art-events.co.uk/ Want to learn more about art? I sure do. The problem is art is not science. Yes, it does require reading and understanding of the various art forms and styles. But that is not the end of it. Just like appreciating wine, you just have to be involved in it. You won't learn about wine if you don't drink wine. I think it is the same as with art. Art Events offers their customers a better way to experience and enjoy art - by organizing workshops and courses. Learn about the different styles of painting by painting yourself. Yes, you don't have to worry about your "level" of understanding or even how well you paint. They have different courses for different abilities and for different styles as well. So if you are into oil based painting, they have workshops for that. They get professional tutors and artists for these workshops. Check out their programmes on their website for more information.

Pencils http://www.pencils.com/ Pencils?? I am pretty sure a lot of our young nowadays have never touched a pencil in their life before. Just look at them nowadays with their iPhones and iPads and those green robot thingies. Give them a pencil and they will most likely play darts with it. Anyway, Pencils.com is a site selling....you guess it PENCILS! Basically for the sketch artists you see on the sidewalks. They use pencils to sketch drawings of buildings, people and whatever. Apparently even carpenters use pencils which I assume is to draw diagrams or markings on planks or wood. Oh by the way, this site allows you to customize your pencils - like adding your company name for promotion or as gifts to your clients. And once you are finish browsing through their site, check out their "history" of pencils and be amazed.
