Stereogum http://stereogum.com/ What is cooler than listening to music? Well, reading the latest gossip about the people who make those music of course. Celebrity news are often the best form of entertainment for the masses. We just love to know who is dating who, who broke up with whom, who wear what clothes and so on. It is like once we get obsessed with their music, we must get obsessed with everything they do. But at least Stereogum is more into the music that anything else. You can read up on the latest concerts, news, new music releases and new music video by those artists. Oh, they claim to be "indie" but honestly, their focus is still more or less on general music. Don't let this "indie" thing hoodwink you. Check out their recommendations on music, up and coming bands, new songs, concerts and events.

Jango http://www.jango.com/ Honestly, who here doesn't like music? Come on, music is probably something which everyone likes. Of course there are certain types of music which certain groups of people like but in the end, everyone still likes music. It is like the universal language of whatever you want it to be. And with the advent of the Internet, we started looking for ways to find more and more music. Hence, we see the birth of many websites offering free music as Internet radio. Jango is one of the more popular ones. If you don't like complicated interfaces or confusing features, you should try Jango. It is dead simple - just search for the song or artists you want and you will be set. Now available on iPhone and Android as well. Great as a music on the go if you don't want to download them. There is a social networking element to the site as well. Users can "make" or "break" a song to either give it more airtime or less.

Turntable Lab http://www.turntablelab.com/ I don't know what exactly this site is about - but they do have some of the great recommendations that I have known. And not about the latest popular musicians or artists, but obscure music from unknown bands or artists. This site is mainly for those over-obsessed with music. Not only music recommendations, they also sell stuff like DJ equipment, vinyls, lights, audio equipment and even hoodies for those who are seriously fashion-blind. It is all about rap, hip-hop, rave and other party stuff here. Get the best remixes or the coolest sounds you will never hear for your next little warehouse party. Yes, I am not into those kind of party stuff and at my age, I would probably get a heart attack 5 minutes into the party. Even if I don't get a heart attack, my head would hurt real bad from the pumping music. But you guys enjoy.
