Wordsmith is all about words. They are a community of people who loves words, wordplay, literature, language on the whole and maybe even poetry. Subscribe to their newsletter and get a word sent to your email daily. Not just any damn word, these words are pretty deep. It is a great way to learn new words and even as an inspiration. For inept "writers" like me, sometimes we just can't think of what to write - I believe this is sometimes called Writer's Block. And sometimes we just can't pen thoughts to words. Claims to be the fastest dictionary on the Internet. In this fast paced world, who has the time to wait for the meaning of a word to load? We want everything faster, so this is the Internet's answer to speed. They make use of Princeton's open Wordnet 2.0 as their base. They claim to have the best algorithm to make searches as fast as possible. Of course, it will depend on your Internet speed and the server load for the Definr server. I myself have tried it during peak hours and it seem to response pretty fast. Oh, this service is provided for free.

Basically a free online translator. Nothing special about this translator, but the real advantage is that it is free - very fast. Of course there is always a limit but from my few experiences with this translator, it is pretty good. Anyway, it is free. So no real complains there. And as with most online or automated translators, you will find the translations are not always perfect. In fact, from what I know, there is no perfect automated translators. Automated translators will never beat a human translator when it comes to getting the right phrase. It also offers a history of your translated words - so you don't need to re-translate again. Other than that, it is a pretty decent but normal (as in "unimpressive") online translator.

This way, you can easily compare the explanations and understand fully the meaning of the word you are looking for. I know the frontpage looks kind of crappy and kid-like but perhaps it is mean for children. I don't know. And I don't care. All that matters is it is rather useful.
